2024 Spring Rally
The Lima-Van Wert spring rally was held on April 27 at Emmanuel Van Wert. Infant and toddler sized clothing and diapers were collected for Heartbeat of Lima, an organization that offers hope, education, and resources to families who are pregnant or parenting children up to age three. A monetary donation was also sent with Ann Cox who spoke to the group about Heartbeat's mission.
2023 Fall Rally
The Lima-Van Wert zone held its fall rally on September 23 at Immanuel, Lima. Personal care items were collected, greeting cards were colored and personalized, and fleece blankets were tied for Phil's Friends. Later on September 27, Shawn Klingbeil, Denise Simpkins, and Cathryn Nihiser worked on blankets for for several hours. Total number for Saturday and Wednesday was 26 fleece blankets. Ingathering of other Items for Phil's Friends included 21 lotions, 15 pkg lip balm, 9 toothpaste, 16 toothbrushes, 3 soft sox. 31 hats, 21 Word puzzles,61 journals/notebooks, and 2 $20 gift cards. Shawn Klingbeil was able to meet Phil himself while dropping off all of the blankets and other materials the Lima-Van Wert Zone ladies collected and made. To God be the glory.

2023 Spring RallyThe Lima-Van Wert zone held its Spring Rally on April 22,2023 at St. John's Wapakoneta. The day's ingathering consisted of personal care items for women in transition due to fire or weather related events. Karl Mielke and Chris Schneider of St. John's have been trained to participate as part of a Lutheran early response team. (LERT) They assisted the women in preparing the tote bags which also included Bible verses and devotions.

Picture Books for Shut Ins
Recently Nancy Thieman, Denise Simpkins, and Cathryn Nihiser, from Immanuel, Lima, had a workday to make picture books for shut-ins and nursing home residents. Using greeting cards and stickers, they finished 8 books. Another workday is being planned for January.
