Cleveland South-West Zone Hosts a Joyous Spring Rally at Bethany Lutheran Church
Amid laughter, fellowship, and heartfelt giving, the Cleveland South-West Zone gathered at Bethany Lutheran Church in Parma for their 2025 Spring Rally. This year's theme, "I Praise You Because I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made" (Psalm 139:14), set the tone for an uplifting day filled with celebration and purpose. One of the most touching moments of the rally was a baby shower hosted in support of Cornerstone Pregnancy Center. Attendees generously donated baby essentials—adorable onesies, cozy blankets, and much-needed supplies—to help mothers in need. The spirit of giving filled the room, reminding everyone of the powerful impact they can have on lives within the community.
The event began with an engaging mixer, where attendees connected and shared their stories. Hostess Jane Hoffman then led a meaningful LWML devotion, setting a reflective tone for the day. Voices united in song as the group sang "O God, You Search Me", a beautiful musical interpretation of Psalm 139. The melody resonated, serving as a reminder of God's profound knowledge and love for everyone.
The guest speaker, Cynthia Carter-Harris, CEO of Cornerstone Pregnancy Center, captivated the audience with her insights. Drawing from her medical background, she shared valuable information about Cornerstone Pregnancy's mission and the realities of the abortion pill, empowering attendees with knowledge to support life-affirming choices.
Attendees also had the pleasure of meeting Saul, the beloved comfort dog of Bethany Lutheran. Carrie Broa, the Top Dog of Bethany's Comfort Dog Ministry, spoke about their journey since launching the ministry nine months ago. Adding to the fun, Lori Fuchs, Top Dog of St. Paul's Comfort Dog Ministry, introduced the group to LCC's Comfort Dog Ministry and engaged everyone with an interactive quiz.
Zone President Julie Gresko delivered updates on zone and district news, expressing gratitude to the dedicated Zone Board members—Pastor Hoffman, Jane Hoffman, and Susie Mercer—who served faithfully for the past five years. Exciting changes lie ahead, as Pastor Josh Gremminger of St. Paul is set to take on the role of Zone Counselor, along with new board members.
As the event ended, attendees recited the LWML pledge, reaffirming their commitment to faith and service. A heartfelt table prayer preceded a delicious lunch, generously provided by Thrivent, offering one more opportunity for fellowship and reflection.
With renewed inspiration and anticipation for the next chapter, the Cleveland South-West Zone departed—grateful for a day well spent, faith well shared, and a mission well supported!

Overflowing Abundance The R.E.A.L. women of Royal Redeemer hosted a Spring event with Donna Snow on April 18th. The Bible Study theme was "Overflowing Abundance" This Bible study focused on the feeding of the five thousand (which is the only miracle recorded in all four Gospels) from the gospel of Matthew 14: 13-21. "Sometimes, in seasons of stress and brokenness, we keep our eyes down. Trudging forward. Never looking up to see our Provider. Yet when Christ is present, the weary find rest, and the hungry soul is satisfied".
We started the event with prayer, song, and lots of delicious food! Raffles, giveaways, more food - oh my! Tons of fun and fellowship with Lutheran women in the Cleveland South-West zone. Thank you to the women of Royal Redeemer for hosting this very special Bible study with Donna Snow. Your time and talent were greatly appreciated – well done faithful servants!
