SPRING RALLY 2025
44 women and men (from 10 of our 15 groups) attended the Northeast Zone Spring Rally on April 26 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Mayfield Heights. The theme was "Faith Not Sight" based on 2 Corinthians 5:7. Our guest speaker, Rachel Potts, told us about the amazing work of the Lutheran Braille Workers. President Billie Lelle presided over the business meeting which included the reports, zone, district and national news, election of officers and a piggy skit. Food was gathered for the Our Savior Food Pantry, and monetary gifts of $409.00 for mites and $510.00 for LBW were given. It was a wonderful day of Christian fellowship, delicious food and joyful service.
Note click on the pictures and they will be going in the right direction.

FALL RETREAT 2024
51 Northeast Zone members, representing 11 of our 15 groups, joined together on September 28 for its 31st annual fall getaway. It was held at the Environmental Learning Center in Concord, OH. The the of the event was "God's Gift of Rest" as we came to Relax, Enjoy, Seek and Trust. Our theme verse was from Exodus 33:14 - The Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest." Events of the day included Keynote Speaker, Pastor Steven Hackman leading us in a session entitled "Sabbath, a Time of Rest"; songs throughout the day, making fleece scarfs for the Salvation Army, a swap table, games, a R.E.S.T ful walk; skits and Bible Study with Zone Counselor, Pastor Steven Berndt which expanded on our theme verse. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast and a yummy lunch. $1,427 was collected for "Sleep In Heavenly Peace" - a volunteer group that provides beds and bedding, so that NO CHILD will be sleeping on the floor. $562.28 was collected in a special mite offering which will be given to the district in memory of John (Jack) Schimmelmann. We are thankful to THRIVENT for providing funds which helped to offset the cost of this event. We praise God for this faith strengthening event.
